Autoworld, 1970 Monte Carlo SS 454, fantasy convertible, 1-12
Back in 1970 Chevrolet introduced the 1970 Monte Carlo to the world and at that time they offered customers an accessories brochure filled with options you could add to your new Monte. One of those options shown in the early brochure release was a convertible option. Yes GM was going to offer the new Monte Carlo as a convertible as an option. It was however quickly cancelled and they were never produced by the factory.
Move ahead many years and owners figured out they could do this conversion using the 70 Chevelle convertible frame and top, hence a small group of 70 Monte Carlo convertibles now seen around the country.
Because of the brochure I have decide to make some as a fantasy convertible release using the new Autoworld, 1970 Monte Carlo in Black that is coming in September. These will all be sold under the BYC name and include the numbered signed COA, box sticker and license plate. The Burgandy model shown is for example purposes only of what they conversion will look like. These will have resin cast sun visors in black and a seemed, textured resin cast book created just for this car. Note the boot in the picture is NOT glued down and will sit more flush when it is. I need to use this master to make my mold first.
Retail will be $144.95 plus S/H.
